Submissions

Richard Henshaw Group specializes in
commercial Fiction and Non-Fiction with a special interest in all areas
of Crime Fiction. Check out our List page
to see more details. We try to respond within 2-3 weeks for a query and
3-6 weeks for completed manuscripts. Please keep in mind that we do
not control the number of submissions we receive.
For Fiction we like to take a
look at a query letter, short synopsis and the first fifty pages.
For Non-fiction we prefer a proposal. ALWAYS include a SASE
(self-addressed, stamped envelope) if you would like a response.

³Querying
from outside the U.S.
|
Foreign stamps (even Canadian stamps) are
not valid in the United States. You must have U.S. stamps on
your SASE or include an International Response Coupon (IRC) if you would
like a response or the return of your material. IRCs are available at
your local post office. One IRC will cover the cost of returning a
letter sized envelope only. If you wish for the return of a partial or
proposal you will need to include many IRCs. In order to calculate how
many IRCs you will need to send, please go to the
U.S. Post Office website.
Richard Henshaw Group accepts
e-queries of up to 250 words. Please note that we do not open any
attachments. Because of the vast number of e-queries we receive
each week the response time can be 4-6 weeks. To e-mail your
submissions please send it to
